BOSTON (WHDH) - A Lawrence man was arraigned Monday after he allegedly hit a Boston police officer with his car.

Police said officers responded to a domestic disturbance call on Julian Street and went to speak to the suspect, who was sitting in a car. The suspect allegedly put the car in gear and accelerated, striking an officer. The officer is expected to be OK.

The suspect faces several charges, including assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
