The parents of victims in an alleged child rape case have filed a lawsuit against Bridgewater State University.

"They all want to see something done because of what has happened to their kids," said attorney Carmen Durso.

Attorneys for parents of four children are seeking emails they believe will detail what school officials knew about the alleged abuse at the school in 2015.

The Attorney General’s Office says it wants the suit dismissed and is trying to work with the families.

In 2015, 21-year-old Kyle Loughlin, of Wrentham, pleaded not guilty to charges of child rape in connection with when he worked at the school’s daycare.

The center’s director, Judith Ritacco, was later charged with neglecting to report the suspected abuse.

The judge is expected rule on the email request soon.
