One could argue that the leftovers from Thanksgiving dinner are even better than Round 1.  In fact, I would argue that this is the case.  At least, it’s the way things are in our house!  You love digging your fork into the gravy-loaded mashed potatoes the first time around… but then, later in the day, you get to pile those potatoes onto a couple of slices of bread, add cranberries, turkey, more gravy, stuffing, and even some pumpkin pie… NOW you’ve got yourself a MEAL.  Enough of the rant, but seriously… I’m thankful for Round 2.

This story has a point, you see, because today was beautiful.  We had partly cloudy skies and temps flirting with the 60° mark in many spot!  It’s difficult to think about last year when some of our travel was impeded by snow.  Today’s warm-up is certainly a better situation.  SO, why not go for ROUND 2?!  The warm-up continues tomorrow.  Let me just say, much like those thanksgiving leftovers, it just gets better and better.  Highs tomorrow will top out in the low to mid 60s… with a cranberry on top!  :c)

Heading out to wait in line overnight for some great Black Friday deals?  Temps will stay fairly mild all night long.  *** Here’s my post-turkey-tangent:  When I lived in the UK, I thought it odd that when you sit down for dinner the cook will often say "tuck in!" like "dig in" or "enjoy."  I always thought that was a strange thing to say before a meal, because when I think of "tucking in" I think of tucking in under the covers for bedtime.  The clouds will serve to "tuck us in" tonight – keeping our warmth from today from escaping back into the atmosphere – much like "tucking in" under the covers to keep your body warmth in.  You can "tuck in" to dinner – or "tuck in" for a nap… Either way, our temps tonight will stay in the 40s.  Tangent over.

A cold front sweeps through overnight Friday into Saturday morning and will likely bring some isolated showers.  Those showers will wrap up by Saturday afternoon, but they still could cause some slow-downs on the roads for travel early Saturday.  BUT, New Englanders have driven in worse, right?!  We’re talking RAIN showers – NOT (dare I say it?) snow showers.  While the front does usher in some colder air to take us back to "normal," it will be very November-like.  In fact, I don’t see any extreme cold or significant storms down the pipeline for a while.

Enjoy your leftovers, be it turkey dinner or mild temps!  Happy Thanksgiving!  – Breezy
