WEBSTER, MASS. (WHDH) - A store scuffle was caught on camera in Webster, after a clerk and suspected thief became locked in a battle over booze.
The violent brawl happened at a liquor store on Main Street.
Gary Napierata was in the store at the time. He said store owner Howard Eddy pulled out an ax handle and confronted the suspect, who was trying to steal a bottle of vodka.
Napierata said the next thing he knew, the man leapt over the counter and attacked Eddy.
According to Napierata, while the brawl continued, he ran outside and got someone to dial 911.
Police said the alleged attacker, 26-year-old Charles Meseck, ran off and was later found by a police dog.
Meseck was arrested, and police are still searching for a second man who entered the store with him.
