Such an awesome day (maybe a smidge chilly early) with strong March sunshine, light winds & mild temps…I would take this weather in early spring every day of the week—even Tuesdays! I think we can warm things up a little more tomorrow but at a price…more wind.

March is one of our windier months as there is leftover jet stream energy from winter and the sun can help to mix up the air, which drags down some of those stronger winds to the surface of the Earth. yesterday was a chilly wind from the northwest but tomorrow will be a warm wind from the southwest. When once takes a glance out across Pennsylvania & Ohio you find temps near 70 right now and thanks to our southwest wind for tomorrow, those temps are in New England tomorrow! Woot woot.

The trade-off to the May like warmth will be the wind–at times gusting near 40 mph but hey—it’s 70, not 40. the other knock may be a few more clouds around by afternoon but I’m splitting hairs on that one. the only regions where this southwest wind is not warm is along the South Coast/Cape where you’ll find cooler temps thanks to the wind coming off that chilly ocean.

Looking to Friday we find our next storm but it’s not a repeat of this past Monday (rainy all day with temps in the 40s), rather, temps in the 60s much of the day with even a little humidity sprinkled in. As for rain, they will be scattered showers so getting some outdoor activities while staying dry can be accomplished.

Looking to the weekend we see an overall change to our pattern..one that is not exactly full of warm, fuzzy thoughts. the jet stream will buckle into a shape that will promote cold for the first week of April. This shape will also offer the chance(s) of some snow…slow your roll….we’re not talking April Fools 1997 snow but perhaps enough to coat the ground for some of you early Sunday morning and again Tuesday of next week. Even still…early April weather blogs should not detail chances of snow—I get that.

Enjoy tomorrow—nice, warm & sunny day! ;o)
