BOSTON (WHDH) - Dozens of local musicians held a protest demanding a new rehearsal space after they say they have been forced out of theirs.

Hundreds of musicians use the Boston Sound Museum in Brighton as a practice space, and the building has been bought.

Protestors say the developer promised to give them a new space, but it won’t be ready for several months, leaving them without a space to work.

“It’s just a wonderful community of artists, a wonderful community of musicians,” said musicians John Michael. “We need this place, we need to not be thrown out on the streets.”

According to protestors, there are not many other music rehearsal spaces in the city.
