ACUSHNET, MA (WHDH) — An Acushnet woman has been accused of leaving a child inside a running car after a video on a Facebook page went viral.
Breanna McGrath, 20, has been charged with reckless endangerment of a child under the age of 18.
According to police, the video showed McGrath’s vehicle parked at the Gas Express on Tarklin Hill Road and Belleville Avenue while she was inside the convenience store on Sept. 1 in the afternoon.
Police said the video also showed a young child left alone in McGrath’s car for a period of time while the car was unlocked and the engine was running.
The Department of Children and Families has been notified and is expected to conduct a separate investigation.
