ARLINGTON, MASS. (WHDH) - Arlington Police are concerned with an increase in “intolerance and hate incidents” around the country and in their town.
Police on Monday released a statement about the most recent incident, where swastikas were spray-painted on a black family’s garage door.
Before that, police said there were recurring racist and anti-Semitic graffiti at a middle school, an unsolicited mailing of KKK material to someone’s home and Black Lives Matter signs repeatedly defaced or destroyed.
“As members of the Arlington community, we offer our unconditional support and solidarity to anyone who has been a victim of racism or anti-Semitism,” police said. “We are greatly disturbed by these recent events, and we assure you that we will not tolerate hateful acts in our town.”
Anyone with information on any of the incidents is urged to contact police at 781-643-1212.
