AMHERST, Mass. (AP) — An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect in a fatal weekend shooting at an apartment complex in Amherst.

The warrant was issued on Tuesday. Northwestern District Attorney spokeswoman Mary Carey says the suspect’s name will be released once he’s arrested.

Thirty-one-year-old Jose “Joselito” Rodriguez was shot and killed early Saturday. Authorities say he had been staying at the apartment complex at the time of the shooting, but had no permanent address.

A 28-year-old man was also shot. He is recovering at a Worcester (WUS’-tur) hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
