SOUTHBRIDGE, MASS. (WHDH) - A close encounter in Southbridge led police to issue a warning about bears.
The police department posted these photos on Facebook of bears making themselves at home in yards and porches on Alpine Drive over the weekend.

They are telling homeowners to stay away from the wild animals, secure bird feeders and keep a close eye on their pets at night.
