Shrewsbury police are investigating a two-car crash that happened Wednesday afternoon.

A preliminary investigation has determined a 1999 Jeep Cherokee was traveling north on Rt. 140 when it attempted to pass a stopped car and it crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a school bus van.

The driver of the Jeep was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The van had two adults and seven children on board.

The van’s driver was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No one else was hurt.

Rt. 140 remains closed for the investigation.
