BOSTON (WHDH) - A 2-year-old cat was rescued from underneath a shed in Mashpee last Saturday.
The cat, who was nicknamed “Coco Chanel” by MSPCA-Cape Cod staff, was taken to the MSPCA in Centerville.
According to the MSPCA, it survived a likely run-in with a car. The cat dislocated its jaw and had several broken teeth.
The cat had a kink in its tail that pointed to an earlier fracture.
The team brought Coco to Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, where it underwent surgery to re-align its jaw and broken upper canines.
No one has come forward to claim the cat. Coco Channel will be placed up for adoption on Friday and anyone interesting in can contact the center directly by emailing capeadoptions@mspca.org.
