CAMBRIDGE, MASS. (WHDH) - Crews rescued a construction worker in Cambridge Thursday who was injured nearly 30 feet below ground.

The man is expected to be okay.

He was rescued just before noon.

The man was in a trench and was hurt while crews were lowering a beam. His leg was cut, but he was able to stop the bleeding.

Crews set up a system of pulleys to rescue the man.

Typically, the man in the trench would a ladder to get out.

He was taken to a local hospital.
