DANVILLE, NH (WHDH) — An arrest has been made in connection with a murder in Danville, NH.

Richard Moore, 37 of Danville, NH, was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder for knowingly causing the death of Jo-Anne Boucher, 51 of Danville on Sept. 2.

The accused killer was a roommate of the victim and a registered sex offender.

According to neighbors, he called 911 himself to report the crime.

NH State Police said Moore became violent and stabbed the victim to death over Labor Day Weekend.

Neighbors said Moore had been living at the house for quite some time.

The victim had been renting out part of her home to help pay down her mortgage.

Neighbors said they were wary of the accused killer, his arrest affirming their suspicions and fears.

Those who knew Boucher said she was trusting and had a big heart.

She leaves behind a son.

Moore will be in court on Monday morning.
