City Hall Plaza is hosting Forbes “Under 30 Summit” from Oct. 16-19th, providing a hub for 5,000 entrepreneurs and leaders in tech and business to network at panels, parties and music and food festivals.

Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps led a group of young entrepreneurs for a run along the Charles River Tuesday morning as part of the summit.

Ashton Kutcher and Jessica Alba are among the celebrities who are leading panels during the week’s event.

Alba co-founded The Honest Company, a billion-dollar consumer goods company that creates non-toxic household products. She encouraged entrepreneurs in Boston on Monday to remember that overcoming challenges is all part of the process.

“You can’t let [challenges] define you,” Alba said to an audience. “You should really take it as an opportunity to grow and learn from them.”

The Forbes conferences’ website says the summits serves “as the definitive place to network, collaborate, recruit and exchange ideas of the future.”

Virgin Group founder Richard Branson and Chef Bobby Flay will also be speaking at the summit.

Music performers will include Jason Derulo, Hasley and Delta Rae.
