HAVERHILL, MASS. (WHDH) - In a galaxy, far, far away—called Haverhill—a Wookie helped an X-Wing pilot on his mission to collect as much candy as possible.

The Wookie did it all for his son, 12-year-old Tommy Hardy.

Tommy has Cerebral Palsy and Autism.

The X-Wing fighter is actually built around Tommy’s wheelchair.

A team of builders crafted the costume, which was revealed to Tommy earlier this week.

The fighter’s engines light up and R2-D2 sat behind the seat—just like in the movies.

This is the third year Tommy’s Dad and his team built an epic costume—and it’s certainly not the last.
