BOSTON (WHDH) - A man was rushed to the hospital after he was stabbed in Roxbury late Thursday night on Wensley Street.

The victim, Collins Edwards, 37,   was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and has since died.

Karen Edwards,  36 of Brooklyn, was arraigned in West Roxbury Court Friday on murder charges.

Karen Edwards was sent for a competency evaluation following the arraignment.

According to the assistant district attorney, Karen Edwards, Collins Edwards and two other people were in the home when the victim and his wife became involved in a verbal argument. During the argument, Karen Edwards allegedly told her husband she was going to stab him. She allegedly went into the kitchen, got a large knife and stabbed him in the chest.

Collins Edwards ran from the scene, and Karen Edwards followed him. A knife was recovered along the path they ran.
