BOSTON (WHDH) - The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said that drivers will be paying tolls in both directions by the end of the year.

MassDOT spokesperson Jacquelyn Goddard said tolls will return in each direction once All Electronic Tolling is activated state-wide. Goddard said this is expected to happen at the end of the year.

Goddard called the tolls “revenue-neutral,” meaning the current toll will be split for both directions and drivers will not be charged extra.
