PHILADELPHIA, PA (WHDH) — An American Airline flight to Boston was delayed after a couple boarded the plane before formal boarding on Sunday.
Authorities said the couple walked on the plane two hours earlier when doors should have been locked.
They said the couple was discovered during boarding and a different plane was used out of caution.
American Airlines released the following statement on Sunday:
Two passengers gained unauthorized access to one of our aircraft earlier this morning. Out of an abundance of caution, we are utilizing a different aircraft for the flight to Boston. We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience
