BOSTON (WHDH) - Grieving families hoped to stop construction at a local hospital.

Boston Children’s Hospital is looking to expand, and they want to do it on top of the “Prouty Garden.”

Those looking to save the garden headed back to court on Wednesday.

The request was denied.

Friends of the famed “Prouty Garden” at Boston Children’s Hospital were able to stop construction and the closing of this green space.

The group says they’ll continue to fight.

Children’s Hospital has been planning a billion dollar expansion at the facility.

The hospital didn’t comment but said they’re actually expanding their greenspaces in their remodel.
