LONDONDERRY, NH (WHDH) — A Londonderry, New Hampshire, man has been charged with drug possession and endangering the welfare of a child.

On Oct. 13, officers noticed a man entered a suspected drug house. Police said he was inside for about 20 minutes before leaving in a Jeep. He failed to use a turn signal on Bridget Street, so officers followed him toward Derryfield Park, where he parked his car.

Officers approached him as he sat inside the car and saw an off-white rock-like substance in his center console and a young child in the back seat.

The man, later identified as David Emerson, 31, was arrested.

Police said they also found a glass pipe in the driver’s seat and a small amount of crack cocaine in the center console.

The 4-year-old child was picked up by his mother.

Emerson is set to be arraigned Friday.
