DANVERS, MASS. (WHDH) - A woman was struck and killed by a car in Danvers Tuesday morning.
According to police, a 70-year-old woman was struck on Hobart Street just before 7 a.m.
The woman was treated on scene, where emergency crews performed CPR.
The woman was eventually transported to Beverly Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
She later died at the hospital. Her identity is being withheld pending family notification.
The driver of the car involved has been identified and is cooperating with police.
The cause of the crash has not been determined, but police are considering the possibility of solar glare.
The crash remains under investigation.
