GILL, Mass. (WHDH) — The body of a man was found in the Connecticut River in Gill and police believe it could belong to a Plymouth murder suspect.
Tyler Hagmaier is accused of stabbing his neighbor, 76-year-old Vibeke Rasumussen, to death earlier this month. The Quincy College professor’s body was found dead in her apartment.
Hagmaier’s car was found on a bridge over the Connecticut River a day after the stabbing. Search teams looked for him the in the river but were unable to find him.
Police said clothes on the body are similar to what Hagmaier was reportedly wearing the day of the murder. An autopsy is being done to confirm the body’s identity.
