TILTON, N.H. (AP) — Police in Tilton say two New Hampshire men have been arrested after officers seized a large shipment of drugs from a car during a traffic stop.

Officers stopped the car at the intersection of Interstate 93 and Laconia Road Monday night for having a false inspection sticker. Police say they observed evidence of illegal drugs and requested a search warrant.

Investigators say a search of the vehicle found more than 750 grams of heroin, worth an estimated $80,000 on the street. Police say officers found a large bag of crystal meth, cash and a handgun that was reported stolen in Boston.

Police arrested 39-year-old Bryan Franklin and 21-year-old Cre Clay. It wasn’t immediately known if they had lawyers.

The case is under investigation.
