BOSTON (WHDH) - Boston Police are investigating after a teen was hit by a car in Dorchester Wednesday.

The crash happened at the intersection of Apinswall and Whitefield streets.

According to witnesses, two boys on bicycles rode down the wrong way of the street. One of those boys stopped and told 15-year-old Ali Al-Ananzeh to stop because he saw a car. Al-Ananzeh then struck the passenger side of a car. The driver of the car stopped at the scene.

Family members said Al-Ananzeh suffered a broken collarbone and stitches near his eye. He had a seizure at the hospital and they are waiting to see if he has any serious internal injuries. He is expected to survive.

Residents in the area told 7News the intersection is dangerous and has no stop signs.
