METHUEN, MASS. (WHDH) - A suspect was injured in a police-involved shooting in Methuen Thursday evening, according to police.
The shooting happened at the Summit Place Apartments Thursday evening. Police said officers were at the apartments to talk to the 36-year-old suspect who was connected to a robbery that happened earlier in the day. Police said he asked them to come to his apartment so he could turn himself in.
According to police, there was a “violent confrontation” between an officer and the suspect. Police said the suspect brandished a gun and pointed it at the officer. The officer then shot the suspect.
None of the responding officers were injured.
