A third man arrested in the murder of a Dorchester high school student appeared in court on Tuesday.
Raekwon Brown was shot and killed near Jeremiah Burke High School in Dorchester on June 8. Two other teens and a woman in her 60’s were also injured in the shooting.
A judge allowed Jaden Waiters, 20, to stay hidden from view as he was arraigned on a homicide charge in connection with the shooting death of the 17-year-old. Waiters also faced gun charges.
Dressed in a green camoflage hooded sweatshirt, Waiters said he could hear the charges he faced.
Police said they reviewed surveillance video from outside the school and gathered forensic evidence, which helped identify two co-defendants in the case.
Benzy Bain, 24 of Mattapan, and Jonathan Aguasvivas, 23 of Roxbury, had already been arrested by Boston police a month ago. They appeared in court after Waiters for a preliminary hearing regarding defense access to search documents.
The District Attorney’s office said evidence gathered since their arrests led investigators to Waiters.
