BILLERICA, MASS. (WHDH) - A woman was charged Wednesday after a hit-and-run in Billerica Tuesday afternoon.
Joe Bevilacqua said he and his fiancee were moving into their new house on Salem Road when their former landlord showed up and began taking pictures. Bevilacqua said he asked 59-year-old Debra Murphy was she was doing this and she became agitated with them and began swearing at them.
The victim, who was helping the couple move, said Murphy struck him with her car, laughing while she drove off. The victim suffered a leg injury in the crash.
Murphy’s attorney said she has no record of the crash and felt threatened during confrontation. She also claimed that Bevilacqua and Flynn stole applicances for their unit, which they deny.
