Worcester Police are investigating after a pickup truck and a bicycle collided on Monday night.

The crash happened just after 6:00 p.m. in the area of Pleasant Street and Copley Road.

The 40-year-old driver was turning onto Copley Road when he saw the 33-year-old bicyclist.

According to police, the driver was unable to stop in time and the two collided.

The impact of the crash caused the bicyclist hit the ground. The bicyclist was conscious and alert but suffered from broken bones, a chest injury, a facial injury along with cuts and bruises.

He was treated at the scene and later transported to a nearby hospital. He is in stable condition.

The driver wasn’t hurt.

The investigation is active.
