Can’t recall the last time we had a warm front heading for New England—I think it might have been Christmas Eve. Well, Santa isn’t heading this way tonight but milder air is and so is some rain. Before that all happens we have a decent Wednesday with sun giving ground to clouds. Despite an increase in clouds our temps will make a run into the upper 40s by afternoon!*—-I dropped an * in there due to the ole Cooler Coast moniker. Yup, until that ocean warms, coastal areas are prone to a chilly sea breeze so places like Swampscott, Boston, Marshfield, Hyannis will see temps in the upper 30s to low 40s this afternoon.
By this evening that warm front approaches–Ho Ho Ho—so plan on clouds & even a few showers by 8pm and lingering overnight. it’s mild with those raindrops as lows stay near 40.
Thursday offers clouds, showers, fog and even a hint of humidity in the air thanks to warmth (and rain). In terms of temps, that thermometer will surge into the 50s tomorrow as the warm front lives up to its name. Warm air & rain mean melting snow so we’ll have to watch rivers but with most towns picking up .50′-1.00″ of rain those rivers should stay within their banks.
Drier & cooler weather return for late week & the weekend.
