We started the day in the upper 40s and when that’s stacked up against the temps Monday morning (low 20s), not too shabby. The problem for those temps will be a persistent north wind and that north wind dragging cold air into southern New England. This persistent flow of cold will prevent temps from rising much for the remainder of the day. This means afternoon temps will finish in the low 50s (below normal) and yesterday we had temps in the low 70s! Good day to show off the Fall wardrobe!

The weekend is decent. Most of it will be dry and temps will continue the up & down theme. Your only shower/sprinkle threat comes Sunday Morning and even then those showers will be light, scattered & fast moving. I’d keep outdoor plans for Sunday Morning as the rain threat is too small, light to cancel activities. Sunday afternoon is dry for the Pats game…as is all of tomorrow. Tomorrow is the cooler of the two days with temps (like today) only in the low 50s by afternoon. Sunday’s shower/sprinkle threat will deliver milder air with most cities, towns & NFL stadiums reaching the low 60s by afternoon. Cool weather is set to return by early next week.
