Lowell High School will have stepped up security Thursday after a rumor about a threat.
In a letter to parents, administrators said students told them last month about a rumor they heard that an attack was going to take place at the school today.
Police investigated the threat and said it’s not credible, but extra officers will be on hand as a precaution.
