A car hit three people in Lowell on Friday afternoon including two children, according to police.
A car was driving on Fletcher Street near Varney Street when it hit three people who were preparing to cross the street inside a crosswalk, according to police.
A 22-year-old father pushing a stroller carrying a 9-month-old girl and a 2-year-old girl were among the victims, police said.
Police said the children stayed inside the stroller when it was hit but the father rolled onto the car.
The mother was not hit, police said.
The father and both children were taken to Lowell General Hospital where they are being treated for non-life threatening injures, according to police.
The 2-year-old was later taken to Tufts Medical Center in Boston with non-life threatening injuries.
The car’s driver stopped at the scene. No charges have been filed
Police are investigating the crash.
