LOWELL, MASS. (WHDH) - The Lowell Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the mystery subject of a painting.
The portrait was found in the studio of photographer George Poirier on University Avenue. Poirer died earlier this year and his family found the painting while cleaning out his studio.
The man in the painting is a former lieutenant for the Lowell Police Department. The portait was paid for back in 1964 but was never picked up.
Police said they want to find the man’s family and reunite them with the portrait.
