A City Councilor announced a new measure to reduce the speed limit through parts of the Back Bay, Wednesday night.
The meeting came after a man was injured in a drag racing hit-and-run on Beacon Street earlier in the month.
The proposal would reduce the city’s speed limit from 30 to 20-miles-per-hour.
The people who live in the neighborhood said they also want changes made to the street design.
