BOSTON (WHDH) - Macy’s helped give to Boston children in need this week with the department store’s third annual coat drive.

More than 100 children in the Boston area received coats Monday night.

Each child got to pick out their own jacket  from an assortment of stylish options.

Mayor Marty Walsh and Bruin Matt Beleskey helped out at the event.

Mayor Walsh said he saw children light up with smiles when they received a new coat, and that Macy’s was “very generous” for putting on the event.
