Maine man charged in October killing in Richmond

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — Maine State Police made an arrest Friday in connection with the death of a Richmond man in October.

Tyon Shuron, 42, of Augusta, was arrested outside his home and charged with murder, said Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

Shuron will be held at Two Bridges Jail in Wiscasset and will make his first court appearance on Monday or Tuesday.

Detectives began investigating the discovery of Andrew Sherman’s body on Oct. 11. Sherman lived alone in Richmond. His body was found by a friend who became concerned after not hearing from him for days.

Further details on the case weren’t immediately available on Friday. It was unclear if Shuron had an attorney.
