ALBION, Maine (AP) — Maine fire marshals say an Albion man has been arrested for allegedly mixing chemicals that caused an explosion in his bedroom in January.
Fire marshals say 36-year-old Joseph Tilly is charged with arson and criminal use of explosives.
The fire marshal’s office has been investigating Tilly since the January incident and complaints that Tilly was advertising explosives for sale on the internet. They said they were called to the house a second time for a fire that started outside.
Tilly was arrested Wednesday and remains at the Kennebec County Jail on $25,000 bail. There was no indication whether he’d hired an attorney.
