A Malden cabdriver who pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the 2011 murder of an Ipswich restaurant owner was sentenced Friday in Salem Superior Court.
Jun Di Lin, 34, pleaded guilty on September 22, 2104 to manslaughter, intimidate to rob and armed assault to rob a person over 60 years old in connection with the beating death of Tony Woo at his Ipswich restaurant, as part of a cooperation agreement.
Lin testified for the Commonwealth at the trials of Cheng Sun and Sifa Lee, both of whom were convicted of first degree murder.
Lin was sentenced to 15 to 25 years in state prison, followed by five years of probation. He was also ordered to stay away from and have no contact with the victim’s family.
