STRATHAM, N.H. (AP) — A man was charged with second-degree murder in the death of a woman at the headquarters of Timberland, the outdoors retail company, in Stratham, New Hampshire, authorities said Monday.

Robert Pavao, 20, of Berwick, Maine, was accused of causing the woman’s death Sunday by assaulting her, the attorney general’s office said.

He was scheduled to be arraigned Monday. It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer who could speak on his behalf. Seacoastonline.com reports he worked as a security guard at the building.

An autopsy was scheduled for the 46-year-old woman, who was found dead at the Timberland building in an industrial park on Sunday.

Authorities did not identify her. In a statement, Timberland said the woman worked for the company.

“It is with extreme sadness that we share news of the loss of a beloved member of the Timberland community,” the statement said, adding that a suspect was in custody and that the company was cooperating with authorities. “We extend our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones as they process this senseless tragedy.”
