SPRINGFIELD, MA (NBC) — Police say a man in Springfield stopped at a Taco Bell restaurant after a deadly hit-and-run crash on Friday.
According to authorities, Robert Loranger, 66, struck and killed a man with his car as he was crossing the street in Springfield.
Immediately after the crash, police say Loranger fled the scene and went to Taco Bell.
Loranger was spotted driving a damaged white Cadillac after his visit to the restaurant.
He was later taken to the hospital for injuries he sustained in the crash.
Loranger was arraigned in court on Monday on multiple charges including motor vehicle homicide while under the influence.
