CAMBRIDGE (WHDH) - A man was arrested early Tuesday evening after police said he stole an ambulance from a Cambridge hospital.
Police said they got a call from Pro Ambulance Dispatch reporting one of their ambulances was stolen from outside a local hospital. The ambulance was spotted at the intersection of Cambridge and Third Street.
Police said an officer was able to position his cruiser in front of the ambulance at Gore Street, where the ambulance came to a stop. When the officer ordered the operator to put the ambulance in park and turn it off, the suspect allegedly tried to comply but instead bumped into the cruiser.
The cruiser sustained minor damage when it was hit the ambulance and no one was injured. Everett Goss, 48, was arrested and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and operating without a license.
