BROOKLINE, MASS. (WHDH) - A man was arrested Thursday night after police said he robbed a bakery in Washington Square in Brookline.
Police said the 911 call came in reporting an armed robbery at Athan’s Bakery on Beacon Street. Police said the suspect came in and said he had a gun but did not show any weapon. The suspect allegedly stole cash from the register, along with cash and cellphones from customers.
The suspect was arrested a short time later on Washington Street. Witnesses from inside the bakery are being questioned by police.
