DUDLEY, MASS. (WHDH) - A man was arrested in connection with a stabbing in Dudley, according to Dudley police.
Officers responded to a home on Warsaw Ave shortly after 12:00 p.m. Sunday for a reported medical emergency involving a knife.
When police arrived, they found the side door of the home open, and a man lying face down on the bed.
The man was uninjured, and later identified as 33-year-old Bryan Walsh.
According to police, a man and woman were found in a car outside of the home, but said they were in the home at the time of the incident.
The man, a 34-year-old from North Grosvenordale, CT, had a laceration on his right shoulder. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threating injuries.
Preliminary investigations showed the two men were drinking alcohol for most of the day, and at some point Walsh allegedly began having a confrontation with the victim in the living room.
According to police, Walsh stabbed the man with a kitchen knife.
Walsh was arrested and charged with assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon. He was held on $240 cash bail and will be arraigned Monday at Dudley District Court.
