HAMPDEN, Maine (AP) — Police in Maine say they’ve arrested a 55-year-old man with a charge of murder stemming from a homicide that occurred in his hometown.

Police say Philip Clark was charged in the death of a woman who lived in the same building he lived in in Hampden. They say they’ve not yet identified the victim, and an autopsy is scheduled for Saturday in Augusta. Police say they’re also yet to determine a cause of death.

Police say the building Clark and the victim lived in has been secured and an investigation is ongoing. It was unclear Saturday if Clark had been able to retain an attorney. He was taken to Penobscot County Jail on Friday. An automated message at the jail said bond information for Clark was not available on Saturday.
