TAUNTON, MASS. (WHDH) - A man is suing several Taunton Police Officers for allegedly violating his civil rights.
A lawyer for the alleged victim, Joseph O’Brien, released a video claiming it shows O’Brien being booked at the police station.
In the video you can see O’Brien and Taunton Officer, Robert Kramer, as they get into a tussle. Other officers got involved.
In the complaint, O’Brien’s lawyer says, “There was no lawful basis for the arrest. Defendant Kramer was angry that Mr. O’Brien, not recognizing Kramer was a police officer, had cursed at him.”
The lawyer says O’Brien suffered a concussion during the struggle.
