LONDONDERRY, N.H. (WHDH) - LONDONDERRY, N.H. (AP) — Police are investigating after a 56-year-old New Hampshire man was killed when he was crushed by the bed of a dump truck while performing work at the Londonderry Flea Market.

The accident occurred on the grounds of the flea market around 11 a.m. Thursday. The man, who wasn’t identified, was pronounced dead at the scene after the bed of a small dump truck was lowered on top of him.

Police say it’s unclear whether a mechanical problem or worker error is to blame for the accident. Foul play is not suspected.

Det. Chris Olson says the victim was living at the flea market in exchange for completing odd jobs around the property.

The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration investigated and cleared the scene by 3 p.m.
