A man was killed after police said he drove into the water behind the UMass Boston campus on Saturday.

Police said they received a report of a car in the water shortly after 12:00 p.m. when a jogger spotted it. A preliminary investigation showed that the car traveled through a chain-link fence and came to rest in the water, partially submerged.

The man’s body was found inside a Toyota Prius. His name has not been released but police said he in his 20s or 30s and that there was no signs of violent trauma.
