PLYMOUTH, Mass. (AP) — A Massachusetts man and his girlfriend have been charged with murder in the death of the man’s father.

The Cape and Islands district attorney’s office said Tuesday that 37-year-old Eli Perry and 29-year-old Paige Malone, both of Mashpee, are charged with killing 64-year-old Raymond Perry.

Eli Perry was already in jail on weapons and motor vehicle charges. Police found a gun wrapped in a white rag under the driver’s seat of the truck he was driving on Dec. 6.

Raymond Perry had been reported missing Dec. 1. His body was found Dec. 18 in Plymouth a short distance from where his son was arrested.

The medical examiner says he died of “blunt force trauma to the head” and “cutting wounds to the neck.”

It’s unclear if the defendants have lawyers.
