FRANKLIN, MASS. (WHDH) - A man was killed after being struck by a Commuter Rail train in Franklin Saturday.
According to transit police, officers received a radio call for a person struck by an MBTA train in Franklin shortly before 4:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they determined a 26-year-old man was trespassing on the right of way when he was struck by an outbound train on the Forge Park line.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
He has now been identified as Eric Parker, 27 of Sudbury.
Transit police detectives are currently investigating the situation. Foul play is not suspected.
